Hurricane Helene Relief Opportunities

We are partnering with Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church and Seagate Baptist Church to support our neighbors in Western NC who are recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene in September 2024.
GIVE: All monetary donations will go to relief efforts in Western NC. Give directly here. (Be sure to select Dsg-Disaster Relief)   
DONATE: Drop offs accepted at Seagate Baptist Church throughout the month of October. 6115 Oleander Rd. Open for drop offs till 7PM. 

Supplies needed:
  • Canned/DRY Foods & Cooking Supplies 
  • Hygiene Items for Men & Women & Children: disposable razors, toilet paper, Soap, Shampoo, Wash Clothes, Band-Aids and Bandages, Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Q-Tip’s, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Underarm Deodorant, Socks, etc.
  • Baby Products: Diapers, Formula, Wipes, Toys 
  • Cleaning Supplies: Chemicals, Mops, Brooms, Large Contractor Black Trash Bags, Paper Towels, Cloth Rags, Clorox Bleach, rubber gloves, cloth gloves 
  • Water: Bottled Water, Cases of Drinking Water, Gallons of Water for cooking and cleaning 
  • Storm Clean-Up: Flashlights, all Batteries, Weather Radios, camp stoves with small propane bottles, fans, dehumidifiers, generators, shovels both flat and spade, work gloves, blankets, pillows, bed linens 
  • Dog & Cat: Food, Animal Treats, Pet Bedding, Pet Toys 
GO: A food service and cleanup team made up of multiple area churches will be going to Western NC on October 16-20. A “GO TEAM” interest meeting is taking place on Thursday, October 10 at Seagate Baptist Church (6115 Oleander Rd) at 6PM.
